@pee_zombie @jdp clarification: JDP was not complaining about licensing himself but just saying that Pleroma (which he likes better on other grounds) would be a solution for people who were worried about license issues

I really do not like the flimsiness of the distinction between DMs and regular posts here: it’s very easy to mess up

@pee_zombie it was mostly @jdp complaining. A couple of others were worried that the Mastodon developers may change the license of future versions to ban its use by people with bad politics and require others to maintain a separate fork.

Best Mastodon clients for iPhone? I’d ideally like one that lets me fine-tune the push notifications I get (e.g. lets me set it to get notified for replies but not for likes)

@pee_zombie theoretically, could this server be moved from Mastodon to Pleroma without interruption? I have no opinion about whether this would be worthwhile, but a couple people in the groupchat where the big wave of new members came from were complaining about Mastodon.

I decided as an experiment to go without my contact lenses for a few weeks and wear (relatively low-strength) reading glasses constantly. I'm curious if this will reduce my nearsightedness.
