A news source that actually informed us as well as the business press informs the investor class would have to correspond to a truly self-governing citizenry, who have to make daily ongoing decisions in the same way investors do.

@Loukas he's right about his observations, to be clear. business media typically is vastly higher quality. i almost exclusively read business insider

@pee_zombie the business press is often a better source of information, so it is more rewarding for critical reading, but they are still playing an ideological role, rather than just giving us how it "actually" is.

@Loukas of course any media has bias, both in the framing and selection, but the point of the QT is that they're incentivized to minimize the former, as the readers seek actionable information on which to make decisions, which requires minimal editorialization
