@astrid I almost got in again but then I looked it up and found out my old alliance disbanded and I’m not going to look for a new one lol
@PeterCxy better than actually building it and then realising that these literal 10yo hitachi HDD’s I decommissioned from the main machine are EVEN LOUDER in a thin case with no soundproofing and that I’m not really willing to listen to their sounds constantly 🫥
I went to my mom's old storage unit today and found three computers I want to repair. The first is my old Osborne I. I used it for a few weeks in the mid 90s before I got the magic smoke. The second is my Apple IIc. It worked when I packed it up in '97 or '98, but the bottom is quite rusted now, so I'm worried about the condition of it. The last one is an Epson HX-20. My mom got it when she got the Osborne, but I've never used it. #RetroComputing #Apple #Osborne #Epson
@benx @rose it’s a bit more complicated! if you update keepass database on 2 different devices before they sync, you have two different DB’s now and need to merge them, keepass lets you do that. Syncthing’s conflict handling only makes sure that both versions get stored so you can merge them manually. Tbh it’s such an infrequent occurrence, had to do it only once in many years.
@pee_zombie yeah to clarify it wasn’t a dunk on ruby per se, more like on how likely I or someone I know is to be familiar with it. Meanwhile, Pleroma uses Elixir.. which could be even more obscure
@pee_zombie oh my god it’s in ruby? oh no
