I have no idea what's so weird about my particular circumstances, but the only thing that broke post-acquisition Twitter was the timeline on the web interface, which maybe peaked at broken 90% of the time ("something went wrong"), but was notably broken now and again before then.

I am doing something wrong, since searching an @ to follow them seems to spam api requests (querying ~every instance?) and get me ratelimited.

Being too lazy to set up a mobile app for mastodon was a mistake… too many protocols to monitor now and no Trillian to do it for me
