had a dream last night where I was walking past several abandoned lots in an industrial part of town that were swarming with dozens of calico cats. in each one I passed, *all* of the cats were standing on their hind legs, which I found fairly unnerving but kept walking.

there were also some extra-large cats among them, larger than cats typically get, that the smaller cats seemed to be paying rapt attention to. eventually I walked closer to take a better look, at which point I realized these weren't cats but children in costumes and face paint.
