noticed that if I'm scrolling through someone's tweets deciding whether to follow them or not, and many of their takes are good / their tweets are enjoyable, but a small yet significant % make me slightly uncomfortable / tense, I'm more likely to follow them. hmm

Follow

it's like now I have an entirely subconscious drive to challenge myself & expose myself to views outside my comfort zone. I see a tweet that makes me shift in my seat and go "idk, I mean... idk" and then I automatically without even thinking scroll up and smash Follow

I think part of it is that my overall impression of the person is that they've got a good head on their shoulders, and therefore the views of theirs that make me tense are WAY more valuable to me than those same views coming from some troll who just recites what they've been fed

kinda like BDSM with someone you love & trust lol
