RT @bzogrammer
It seems to me that good personal connections are much more valuable than money.

What would a welfare system that focuses less on redistributing money and more on restructuring social connections look like?

I suspect that, if done well, it would be vastly more effective.

i already want to k*ll myself. the customers are actively torturing me while my rep holds the franchise manager at gunpoint, everything is going absolutely great

intelligent life must have existed because of crater-free evidence of xenon 139 producing thermonuclear explosions

intelligent life existed on mars when it was still inhabitable

it stopped being inhabitable around the same time as the cambrian explosion

since the life there could not migrate due to having evolved for mars, they did the next best thing and sent organisms to evolve here

one thing that is abundantly clear to me is that metazoa came from mars

Since everyone's "logging" their hot takes, here's mine:

Oh, you mean we kept right on ignoring release engineers like we have for the last 20 years and didn't make a dent in the software supply chain problem since the last time this happened?

I'm shocked. SHOCKED…

RT @FalconDarkstar
Why did we have to teach an entire generation or two of software engineers that software engineering was about code reusability, separation of concerns, and the software development process, and not about making the damn stuff amenable to analysis and verification?

it only took 14 years for them to do anything about it lol

The Kiddie Junction Playground at Pirone Park in Ayer has been closed to the public due to arsenic contamination. Arsenic was first discovered in the playground's wood structure and soil in 2007. The town is working to remediate the site and replace the playground structure.

Do you think log4j saw how heartbleed was the kickstarter that took openssl to funding levels never previously seen in the project and wanted to try the same model? Hm, is there another widely used component we could try this with...?
