...RfU's video today didn't mention that. A similar thing happened with Opytne south of Bakhmut: as I recall, RfU struck an optimistic tone about UKR's ability to defend it, just as it fell to the Russians, and he didn't report on the loss for more than a week.

And in Soledar, I remember him talking about tunnels that would slow down the Russians (they didn't) and other defenses that, it turned out, didn't allow Ukraine to hold very long.
Ukraine seems to be doing well enough. But not as well as RfU makes it sound.
