I’m surprised priming fails to replicate. Maybe the effects just aren’t captured in the study? I could see it not affecting e.g. test results, but still affecting expected value calculations

by "still affecting expecting value calculations" i mean that it might not change objective performance but it might change how people predict they'll perform, which will change the kinds of things they attempt to do in an uncontrolled environment
