i didnt know you were allowed to eat a sandwich that was:

-one layer bread
-one flat layer cheese
-one flat layer meat
-a little butter
- one layer bread

i was raised to believe this was evil

sandwiches always had to have different textures! vegetables! volume! spice!

typical sandwich i'd make at my dad's, having learned from him:

- homemade white bread or hearty white storebought
- minced pickled hot peppers
- lil mayo
- iceberg lettuce
- tomato
- deli cheese, usually cheddar
- deli meat (pinched up to add volume)
- lil mayo
- bread
toast it

that's not even being fancy! that's like the bare minimum
