notion templates are an antipattern IMO
there are like maybe 3 distinct organizational methods worth learning. the rest is all hemming and hawing and not wanting to do real work
i saw this as someone ofc who never got along with multi colored highlighters, so there’s a great chance this is cameron-specific
notion gives you all the building blocks to structure your thoughts, w/ tables and databases and tags and page hierarchies and metadata
trying to add someone else’s framework on top of this feels unnecessary to me, esp ones with hard-to-riff-on aesthetics
although now that i’m writing this out i’m buying it less. it’s probably just a cameron-thing that i find that choosing a template opens up a whole new world of decisions to hesitate and torture myself over, versus just working and note taking
a Schelling point for those who seek one
