Was there ever an official release of The GNU System?
Not Debian or some other packaged distribution, but an official system release from the GNU project.

Hurd is just the kernel. In theory there should be a complete Hurd+Userland system. Or at least the original target was a complete system.
In practice, lots of such systems exist, mostly with Linux kernels. I was wondering if the Official GNU system was ever released.
