I predict that links to Mastodon will not stay blocked.
My theory is that people were posting links to the Jet tracker over there, and they shut that down with the tools they had.
I expect the blocks to be removed relatively soon.

They're blocking basically all servers, redirects and preventing adding links to your profile, this is not about the jet.
@lispegistus my instance isn't blocked.
I don't know how they decided what instances to block, but the timing is suspicious.

Musk seems stressed by Twitter's financial state, and even more so by people injuring his ego.
Mastodon is explicitly a twitter competitor, and so i'm guessing that he felt threatened by it. whereas other platforms aren't in direct competition to Twitter
They may build the capacity to block links out to individual fediverse users or posts.
Not a feature I'm really excited for, TBH.
