People are never fucking happy, are they? Even when you give them all the tools to moderate their own and each other’s experiences (which Bluesky apparently does), they still want their views to be globally enforced.
And the article isn’t clear:

On what level did this happen? Was it a .bsky.social handle and it got removed on the DNS level? Did they get banned from https://plc.directory/ ? Did they get banned from their app view? Their relay? Their PDSs?
Thankfully all those things are theoretically avoidable with the protocol they are using, albeit with a lot of resources in the case of an independent relay.
People also bitched that it took all of a couple hours for the account to get banned
