Those concerned with the Internet becoming flooded with vast quantities of AI-generated garbage content not worth the reading appear not to have noticed that it has managed to survive being flooded with vast quantities of human-generated garbage content not worth the reading.
This is just history repeating itself with robophobia.
@cerebrate quick question: have you looked at the reports of lawyers using ChatGPT in any sort of detail?
@zarpaulus Not in any particular detail, no. Seems like a rather bad idea at the moment.
@cerebrate @zarpaulus short answer: a lawyer connected his expensive law casefile database to ChatGPT and asked it to find cases relevant to his current one. It hallucinated completely fake casefiles instead.
And then at least two other lawyers got the same idea and the same result.
