every time people get scared of the censorship machine they jump to mastodon. then some magazine writes an article about it and there's another wave of new people, and then they all get bored and leave.

@deepfates I think setting up moa.party is a partial solution because you can keep the content flowing here even if you're using birdsite. Actively participating as much as reasonably possible is the only way to make this place sticky.
i'll hang out for a while and see how this goes. it's good to at least have a known line of flight if things do actually get tectonic on the birdsite
