IMO x-posting from Twitter significantly degrades the experience here
This is profoundly lame, but we'll have to live with it
@mattparlmer Do you mean in the sense that a lot of posts are just people cross-posting their Twitter feeds, and not actively engaging/interacting here?

Turns out you can't fake aggregation effects and as long as a critical mass of people are addicted to Twitter not much is gonna change
