Are you able to describe what it feels like when you are hungry? If you were trying to explain the sensation of hunger to an alien, what would you say?

Depends on the stage of hunger, but I'll try my best:
• Located in the gut area, sometimes reaches up to the chest
• Goal-directed, but kind of myopic: a short vector in qualia-space
• But it's also kind of twisting or shearing into itself, creating a cavity (this gets far more pronounced if the hunger becomes more than mere appetite)
• Energy parameter can vary but is nearly always non-negligible
• Kind of high complexity, maybe a "rippled surface"?
