I was a dramatic kid. when I was 8 I watched the Soviet live-action adaptation of Bambi. after a scene where one of the swans of a swan couple is shot & killed, I couldn't bear to look at *the color white*. went over to my grandparents' and cried when I saw their tablecloth.
watching the other swan break down & grieve & mourn was... intense. same goes for when Bambi's mother was shot & killed. and this was live-action so I think that made it the tiniest bit more traumatizing to me as a young child
oh and this was the swan couple. they danced so beautifully
