would be cool if mastodon had some concept of a "region". I probably want to host my own mastodon server, but it would be cool to "subscribe" to multiple servers at once, or if there was some kind of banner for servers that entered into a kind of alliance and could trust its members automatically or something.
i need to catch up to how this thing works :p

@spiderfood thats a good idea! there's something similar called a "relay", where a new server can subscribe to it to get seeded with posts from a bunch of other servers at once. not quite what you're suggesting however, which would be a more explicit partnership. I don't think I've heard much discussion of such a concept on fedi
