some call CRT & idpol in general "social marxism"; this is a clumsy term, painting w/ too broad a brush. however, it does have some truth to it…

assuming you listened, you've now watched both videos & are trying v hard not to get angry; ty! so:

the fascinating commonality btwn them is a sort of dark transhumanism, a marxist perversion, a delusional blank-slateism. what does that mean?

so fucking condescending

if you listen carefully, they're both saying "I don't want to be limited by my biology, but to be able to choose my own path". as a transhumanist, I'm totally w/ this; fuck yeah, transcend ur limits!

however, to break the rules, you must first learn them

the rules, here, are the inexorable laws of nature; contrary to popular belief, they cannot be swayed thru consensus (unlike social constructions), only be worked around w/ the power of science. you can learn the rules, study them, & find a way to bend reality to your liking

this is what my transhumanism entails; transcendence thru technology.

theirs, however, seems a socially-enforced transcendence; if enough people believe in them hard enough, they'll be able to live their lives the way they wish, unconstrained by the accidents of birth or reality

the rude fat lady seeks to sharply delineate btwn which preferences are valid, & which are problematic. it seems her distinction relies on the ease of change, but not just; more so which characteristics relate to the personality, rather than body. she wants to be seen as a mind!

I can absolutely understand this; it can feel so deeply frustrating & unfair, to be unwanted for a reason you can't change (at least not easily). wouldn't it be much better if everyone was only allowed to discriminate based on explicit choices you've made?

the lady in the second video escalates impressively quickly; her claim at the end can, as well, be interpreted as an elevation of mind over matter; what matters is what you WANT. individual choice is supreme, assuming competence.

both of these videos advance a similar argument

while the practicalities of each differ in domain, they do share this common underlying ideology, blank-slate transhumanism, which stems from the the postmodern flavor of Marxist analysis used in critical theory; a denial of objectivity & an assertion of the primacy of the mind

in this way, this faction is diametrically opposed to the bioessentialist luddite one in the QT

both of their rhetorical structures are idealistic & rather aspirational, epistemically ungrounded
