another interesting moment, I ended up having to give a mini lecture on the principles of memetics in order to explain a point i was trying to make on American cultural hegemony; it was an interesting reminder at how niche this space really is, that those concepts are well known

also ended up expounding on my whole multistep heat death solving plan, & the concept of the Malthusian breadbox/importance of a frontier for human thriving; similarly ended up realizing how uncommon of a topic that was to care about. easy to forget tbh.

I'm not trying to wave around fancy words or anything here so much as just pondering how I got to a place where basically all the topics I'd think to bring up in casual conversation are so niche and requisite of long-winded explanation; is 🦋 the radicalization pipeline?
