never believe anyone who tells you that the way to not be bothered is to shrink yourself and dissociate
your boundaries matter and enforcement thereof is the only thing which generates respect
at first I reacted by trying to ignore it, be above it all, pretend like I didn't care, but of course that just made it worse, causing me to mistrust the well meaning teachers who told me to do so, even more than I already did
