I'm reading a book on healing your metabolism/thyroid issues and it's so crazy how this and basically every other esoteric nutrition book is like "yeah so they invented this test that measures a secondary effect instead of the thing itself" and "yeah they only took data for one country ignoring the 16 that disproved the hypothesis" and "yeah so statins actually lower cholesterol by damaging your liver's ability to function, creating less" like HOLY SHIT

it's such a blackpill

@sadalsvvd doctors all know nutrition is garbage science too, so a great litmus test for your family physician is whether they have the gonads to admit this and support personal experimentation, or whether they shove the food pyramid up your ass and bill insurance
