I would like to set a little project aside for myself to try and get to a premed level of medical knowledge in the next 5 years or so

I think with GPT-4 I could do it

@sadalsvvd it’s even easier that this. medical students all use widely available online resources to learn, bc they are higher quality than in-house lectures, and also have corresponding anki decks to virtually upload metric shit tons of information to your brain. my personal favourite is dr ryan’s “boards and beyond” series, which covers the entire STEP 1 curriculum in depth, with easy to understand 15-20 minute lectures. may require AP HS level science, but GPT can bridge the gap

@pujz awesome, thanks! yeah, I'm pretty much just reading OpenStax books and using ChatGPT to connect dots. this sounds great too, I'll check it out!

@sadalsvvd oh i’m not familiar with this, i’ll check it out!

@sadalsvvd check out r/medicalschoolanki for more info on this approach. personally i use ankihub.net, a $5/mo service that gives you access to a constantly updated, 35k deck of flashcards that sync up with the dr ryan lectures. boards and beyond is a little pricey, but lots of 🏴‍☠️ versions available. in 18 months you can possess the entire array of preclinical knowledge of any US-graduated MD
