bluesky griping

the thing I don't get about people going to Bluesky is... who do they think is running it? do they really think that J*ck D*rs*y is the right person to build an open, equitable, and decentralized network? do we think that dude has gotten MORE in touch with the needs of the people and the world or less?

I mean I'm open to it succeeding, but so far it just seems to copy the mistakes of web3's poor social media implementations, yet it's completely opaque in its construction

of course I guess nobody thinks about that sort of stuff. it's just, oh, yay! features! it looks like twitter! my friends are there!

they don't *get* it.

honestly the only reason I care is because I'm really worried about the future of the internet, and what happens to the people that continue to get captured by fundamentally corporate interests

bluesky feels like fake decentralization, aping web3. can't prove it but we'll see
