The four core reasons I’m summarising as:
- it’s too unconventional (/I don’t trust it/I’ll look uncool)
- other donors are too misaligned (/my money will be wasted/they’ll think I’m wasting their money)
- there are better giving opportunities elsewhere
- one wouldn’t give to the donor lottery anyway (/not an EA/haven’t heard of donor lotteries)
