I blame Bill Clinton for wokeness.
There used to be two prongs to the Democratic Party platform:
1. Tax-and-spend for useful services.
2. Social experiments to rebalance racial outcomes.
Clinton's Third Way dropped tax-and-spend for fiscal responsibility.
This left all of the change-the-world energy on the Social Experiments prong.
The outcome is inevitable.
