@chjara is the endian-ness of the 16 bit words visible? I thought that the PDPs were word addressable, not byte addressable.

@WomanCorn the PDP-11 specifically is a fairly "classic" 16-bit byte-addressable arch
it's only the larger mainframe-ish machines from DEC that were word-addressed
