Am now being attacked by ideas for a new space opera. Subtype: high fantasy except where it's hard SF—FTL starships that run on magic.

@cstross no one I can see has mentioned Minecraft yet, so I'll do that.

(Travel in the nether dimension is 8x travel in the overworld. People regularly build transit tunnels through it to speed up long distance travel.)

@WomanCorn @cstross I was thinking that too. Highways and railways through hell are a staple of the game.
