If a superintellgent/transformative AI is built, you will not know about it until it's too late.
ChatGPT won't <wake up>. If anything wakes up it will be a preliminary beta model undergoing training.
You will not have heard about the seed that sprouts the singularity.
@WomanCorn And after it wakes up, it will not appear to be a sci-tech-logistics machine, it will appear to be whatever minimally capable system would be put in a position where it could start doing sci-tech-logistics for itself in a place where no one will notice it.
If you're very lucky, you will hear about a mysterious fully automated computer factory with no legal owners. You might even get to touch one of the computers. You will not have time to figure out how it works or how to use it.
