Apparently, the Perl Core Developers have forced their King to sign a Magna Carta.

The sketchiest thing about the Dr. Seuss depublishing is that it was _announced_.

The publisher could just have stopped printing those books, and most people would never know. But they wanted to get points for doing so.

The weirdest thing about the Dr. Seuss depublishing is that many of the examples are just that the book contains characters who are nonwhite.

Caricatures, sure, but everything in the book is a caricature. This is more like the removal of Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben.

Screenshoting it is a Tort and I can sue you for doing so.

This is why Copyright reform is necessary.

The worst part of the Dr. Seuss discourse is the people saying <I've never heard of those books and you hadn't either before this.>

Just stop. I don't expert you to be an expert in Dr. Seuss' backcataloge, but flaunting your ignorance is terrible.

The United States is also a one-party state but, with typical American extravagance, they have two of them.

To a first approximation, the 20th Century was about Communism.

Everything that happened was either trying to get to Communism, or respond to Communism, or fight against Communism, or provide an alternative to Communism, or understand why Communism failed.

The best game rule ever:

If you are Vin Diesel, go ahead and take an 8 in everything.

Today, everyone on Twitter is an expert on:

Stage Design.

Ancient Runes.

Nazi Symbols (in the rare, also-ran category.)

Me: why can't I find zantac anywhere?

Drugs.com: A cancer-causing impurity found in many ranitidine medications may increase to unacceptable levels over time and when ranitidine is stored at high temperatures.

Me: oh. Well then.

Good news: my Mom got vaccinated.

Bad news: she seems to think she has to wait _two months_ before she's safe.

Does anyone know where this idea comes from?

Happy lunar new year! Due to carcinisation, we regret to inform you that it is once again Year of the Crab

Put these together, and at the end of the day, the vast majority of political activity is empty gestures that sum up to <Yay us! Boo them!>
