What's mastodon's plan for spam once this place becomes a big deal?

Spam and gatekeepers are the Scylla and Charybdis of threats to the internet that the degree of (de)centralization charts a course between.

If you're proposing a design that allows for more centralization everyone rightly asks how you're going to avoid gatekeeping, and designers address that preemptively.

Decentralization proponents do not address spam, and it shows.

@moultano Urbit has a pretty plausible story for anti-spam -- scarce, thus valuable, addresses which can easily be blacklisted (while being distributed in a decentralized manner to avoid gatekeeping)
