@niplav It produced the phrase "AkGPT4-qãl äxkäfţt îţkul Tp'Iţkuil oixţü" when asked to translate from "The GPT-4 Large Language Model is able to write at least some Ithkuil", but it may or may not be total gibberish, as a second GPT-4 conversation was unable to make much sense of it (it could only spot that "AkGPT4" was likely talking about GPT-4 and that "Tp'Iţkuil" was likely a reference to the Ithkuil language itself)

@niplav When pressed, it was willing to further speculate that: The suffix "-qãl" in the word "AkGPT4-qãl" could potentially signify a role, relation, or function that "AkGPT4" (a reference to the GPT-4 AI model) has in the context of the sentence.

I couldn't get it to engage further with analyzing the phrase step by step -- it basically gave up! -- but it might be possible to coax it if someone was willing to spend more time on it.

It clearly has picked up at least some knowledge of Ithkuil.

@niplav (Who knew that AI field would someday need to recruit parents of toddlers and people experienced at getting cats to come down out of trees)

@flats Thanks! I might take this to the subreddit to discover whether it has actually learned any Ithkuil
