Day:

- finished and submitted our conference paper
- emailed multiple consultants
- multiple types of paperwork
- tried the Superhuman email client and it's stupidly expensive but really good. so I might end up using it, which means it's apparently reasonably expensive
- sushi lunch, ramen dinner 😈

Saturday:

- coffee
- work on conf paper some more (due monday)
- finish Death of a Salesman (for book club w/fam)
- book club
- take 9yo to target
- twilight zone marathon w/kids

Sunday:

- more conference paper
- make breakfast
- play mancala w/9yo
- little more conf paper
- play overcooked w/9yo
- argue about overcooked w/9yo
- walk w/bf
- dinner w/bf
- twitter
- watch episode of Arcane

still not sure what to do here so will maybe use the longer format as a kinda journal entry. today I...

- restructured/revised a conference paper to better explain our design goal, principles and how they informed specific game design decisions (this is most of what I spent time on today)
- found someone for some consulting
- helped my son with some math
- did budget stuff in YNAB
- checked out mastodon
- now gonna watch a movie with my kids (the hunger games, they'll prob like it)

kind of a shame that I haven't heard a single thing about anyone really moving to urbit

2 years ago I would've guessed they'd have some twitter-like app by now

and that it would be much easier for ppl to buy/host a planet and get on

my daughter loves red pandas

I love 1950s sci-fi robot aesthetics

we both liked gothic painting style

the AI generated combinations were cracking us up lol

Trying to implement a solitaire that's more true to the nature of Baba Is You

need to follow more accounts stat

the dopamine returns are low here

hmm maybe a good thing

hmm want to use mastodon differently than twitter somehow

maybe stream of consciousness post like @acidshill did for a while

the v small follower count seems like a plus, but I also don't 'get' mastodon yet

can't tell what is confusing me here

I think it's the (lack of) UI for threads
