Hm. My understanding says something like "appropriating signifiers for horrible stuff to signifieds with benevolent content is diluting horrible stuff, but people might see you as dogwhistling"
I empathise with your revulsion, but I don't think I matter that much in the grand scheme of things, and I like performing edgy expression. Probably that's hard to mute, so maybe you don't want to follow me in that case?
