Discourse: Economics, Prices, Rent Extraction
So, question! Things are more expensive in developed economies, right? How much of that is literally just rent extraction? Like, 'More money is made, and therefore more money can be extracted through rents, and this ripples through the system until all the numbers are way bigger but everybody still feels poor and frustrated'? :/
Discourse: Economics, Prices, Rent Extraction
I dunno, I kinda have this intuition that the entire discourse surrounding capitalism is thrown out of wack. With the rentiers pushing the pro capitalism narrative because it covers up their rent seeking, but also pushing a lot of anti-capitalist narratives as well, because they also cover up their rent seeking. :/
