@niplav back then there was mystery and remoteness around internet personalities, there was no way to get info about these people, who was she, why was she doing this, it all contributed to the phenomena, now everybody knows everything

But it's probably difficult to figure out who I am just from my online presence
@niplav also early internet wasn't as massively saturated with people marketing themselves for followers as it is now, so back then the few who did it stood out a lot more and drove intrigue
