A forces activity X on B because A believes X to be good, and A is then angry because B is "ungrateful"

@gigabecquerel finally, someone who understands what POV means

She can't look at chickens without becoming agitated & wants to move away quickly too

This extends to other birds, with some birds being more okay than others (e.g. penguins)

What's the strangest phobia you've encountered in real life?

My gf has an incredibly strong alektorophobia¹, to the point where even *mentioning* chickens will make her distressed

¹: Phobia of chickens

@rime

I think this vibe hurts me.

Not in a "I am depressed/enraged" kind of way, it kind of just makes me give up(?)

I see no sense in things, I want to lie down or go outside and break promises, I don't want to get up and do things, I don't want to build a reputation—*if* I am in the vibe described therein

the beach boys were right. wouldn't it be nice

@kaia A person I can imagine having a conversation with

(though def not my æsthetics)

@alea I was for a moment unsure whether it was Devanagari or commuting diagrams

@Paradox but I'm pretty unsire how this will shake out in the end

@Paradox the farther away you are the less you will have to change course, and the slower you are the less energy you will have to spend

But the slower you are the easier it is for someone else to find and evade/redirect your relativistic kill vehicle

Light can't be detected until it actually hits

@Paradox changing course when you're moving at an appreciable fraction of c is really expensive
