Wait, Tom Bombadil was evil?

That would imply that Tolkien was evil by character self-insert, which makes sense since he was british

DDG disappoints by often giving a 404 :-/

Humans among the hornier species I think? Mating all year round, probably no problem mating in captivity (though perhaps a bit more selective than others in matechoice)

Pretty insane that I use this brain that evolved to distinguish 600 types of berries to remember concepts like "Zero Ontology" and "Karatsuba's algorithm"

I don't even believe Penrose's theory all that much — seems pretty wrong to me. But I don't mock it, which would be a mistake

Moment-of-death stone from Rick and Morty is basically a prediction maximization algorithm hypercomputed on a closed timelike curve. This thing is like Predict-O-Matic but in AIXI.

I could write a ratfic where they try to use this thing for computation and miserably fail, even after having taken as many precautions as possible

Would just become an infodump unfortunately

The treatment of Penrose's theory of consciousness by rats is quite disgraceful. I've only heard mockery, no attempts to even weak an the theory (let alone understand or refute it!) Nothing like Aaronson's IIT post – only pure absurdity heuristic (which, if I have to remind, works rather poorly).

And there isn't even an argument from lack of authority – the mockery is directed at someone whose Wikipedia entry lists ~20 "known for" concepts and who got a Nobel prize for finding that
