The name niplav is based on a roof tile of the University of Maryland, which matches the sequence number and neuroscience thread index, which is how neuroscience researchers manage their data.

I really look forward to the next AI winter! We'll all cozy up inside by the fireside in thick markov blankets, everyone finds a new agent foundations paper in their stocking, and we can listen to uncle Paul have his discussion with uncle Eliezer when the whole family re-unites…

Possible downside: she goes full r-word-mode and produces much more bullshit than can be answered, and makes the convo really adversarial. I doubt this would happen, though, a 2h podcast is not a talkshow, and Rob is really good at keeping things civil.

Shows willingness to give a loud signal to critics, but with gentle push back. Would encourage Gebru to actually read up on what EA *actually is* (she would do that, right?).
It would also satisfy my sadistic impulses towards Rob ;-)

If she refuses, make it known that she did, but in a mentioning way (accusing would be too obvious), which is almost as good as having her on. ("The critics won't talk to them directly!")
