I also hide behind "I used to be Marxist", which is kind of true (I knew more about it than >90% of self-described Marxists, but I also want to have high standards with this, and 90th percentile isn't that great), but there's some residual epistemic material that I haven't processed properly and I only have kind of placative answers.
I have an emotional problem with a lot of far-left thinking:
I think it contains a lot of very bad and untrue memes, but those are not clearly formulated. I can't be bothered to spell them out to people that implicitly hold them bc I'm lazy, but they also annoy me a lot, so I parrot anti-leftwing talking points that are pretty unskillfull. I could either try to reason out my problems with individuals, which takes a lot of time and often leads nowhere, or try to ignore it.
