this is what my transhumanism entails; transcendence thru technology.
theirs, however, seems a socially-enforced transcendence; if enough people believe in them hard enough, they'll be able to live their lives the way they wish, unconstrained by the accidents of birth or reality
the rules, here, are the inexorable laws of nature; contrary to popular belief, they cannot be swayed thru consensus (unlike social constructions), only be worked around w/ the power of science. you can learn the rules, study them, & find a way to bend reality to your liking
if you listen carefully, they're both saying "I don't want to be limited by my biology, but to be able to choose my own path". as a transhumanist, I'm totally w/ this; fuck yeah, transcend ur limits!
however, to break the rules, you must first learn them

the fascinating commonality btwn them is a sort of dark transhumanism, a marxist perversion, a delusional blank-slateism. what does that mean?

alright I want to show y'all something, but you have to promise to be chill about it. pls take a moment & disable your outrage/disgust reflex before continuing.
ok, now, I'm going to link two videos in the next two tweets & discuss some commonalities, pls watch before reading

some call CRT & idpol in general "social marxism"; this is a clumsy term, painting w/ too broad a brush. however, it does have some truth to it…

the phenomenology thereof

sometimes I feel like I'm not really conscious for weeks straight, just going thru life, doin my thing, not reevaluating top level goals, continuing on the same course of action
then once in a while I "come up for air", when journaling or on a long walk
suspect others do too

superego as a low-priority virtual hyperthreaded cognitive process
---
RT @pee_zombie
the superego is that which is above greedy optimization, the function which expresses our highest-level needs. it is never fully reified besides in our rare moments of self-actualization, the glimpses we get of the infinite; our task is to shorten the period between these
https://twitter.com/pee_zombie/status/1328476765392678915
some cosmologies reify this self, but imo it works equally well, if not better, as a virtual hyperobject, a retro-emergent system, forming a self-perpetuating feedback loop w/ your corporeal form. that's what a superego is; the retrocausal distillation of ur essence into an agent
posit the existence of a higher self outside of linear time, to which there's little diff. btwn ur past & future; when you do smth so that you don't "regret it later", that's your higher self effecting a single superegoic action, retrocausally ensuring time coherency of ur goals

that intentional studying often gives one a deeper understanding of the domain in question, affording them more competence than is typical
i've always been like this; very little comes naturally to me, & as a consequence i'm unusually good at many things
autism is a superpower
this phenomenon exhibits itself in many domains, such as language-learning; ever noticed that immigrants tend to have a higher command of their second language than native speakers, on average?
where natives just absorb a language & its rules ambiently, immigrants have to study
many of the other questions follow a similar pattern; they ask about my natural tendencies, which are very much autist in nature (light sensitivity, cognitive rigidity, etc), ones which thru effort I've compensated for, often to the extent that I'm more competent than normies
sometimes, I laugh bc i'm masking, for ex., when I don't care about the interaction v much & just want to get thru it; this isn't unique to autism, as mostly everyone does this; everyone masks sometimes
so, when a question asks about this, what to say? yes, I mask, but so do you
one might say i'm splitting hairs here, but IMO this is a crucial distinction; WHY are you taking an action? is your motivation to not stand out, or are trying to achieve something specific? is the action material to your goals, or are you just following a script?
the difference here is a subtle, but important one
masking is: "i know i'm supposed to laugh at their joke bc everyone else is, even tho i dont think its funny"
but this is: "that joke wasn't funny, but I value making them feel at ease/appreciated"

i, personally, don't. i'm no stranger to masking, as I do it quite often, in situations where for whatever reason it behooves me to come off a certain way
but what i'm talking about is wholly other; its not just ACTING, but BEING
not just mimicry, but full-resolution simulation
sufficiently advanced autism is indistinguishable from just being competent
many people IRL don't actually believe me when I tell them i'm an aspie; i'm too sociable, too perceptive, too "normal"
thats bc i've sunk much effort into learning to be that way
some call this masking
the "natural" answer is, what is my underlying tendency, the biological predisposition
the "actual" answer is, how do things play out in most day to day situations
there's typically a huge difference btwn these, as I've learned to compensate for my issues rather well
