the apprenticeship model has much to offer the softeng industry; we already have an implicit form of it, where Seniors mentor Juniors within an org, but making this an explicit practice with timeboxed milestones, written agreements, etc, would do much for uplifting new engineers

it should come as no surprise that horseshoe theory applies here as well; centrism truly is the blessed ideology. I just wish that more people would be pragmatic about their behaviors, evaluating their utility based on their goals, being willing to adjust in the face of evidence.
I've found the most interesting people to talk to tend to be those capable of switching between modes, of synthesizing a hybrid between them, possessing the cognitive flexibility to follow creative leaps, but also the discipline to consistently merge branches back into the trunk
ofc, the other extreme of very boring serious autists refusing to engage w/ anything that doesn't precisely follow constant-sized logical increments is also rather tedious, as some amount of association and conversational leaps does keep things lively & leave room for creativity
have you ever been in a friend group where the vast majority of conversations are of this mode? hyperactively pattern matching pop culture references, blurring out tangents w/ little attempt to relate them back to the previous topic? some call it dolphin brain, a rather apt term
this naturally leads to unbridgable conflicts in conversational style, w/ one or more of the parties getting increasingly annoyed, unless someone compromises on their preferences; tbh I don't really find this spastic preference to be valid, as it leads to unproductive discussions
I've found this to be a common conversational style among those w/ADHD-like behavior, esp those on the spectrum & prone to getting very excited about things; personally, I find this type of spastic free association rather tiresome & get annoyed if they don't try to stay focused
I've experienced this many times as the bf in this scenario, with mixed reactions. some people appreciate being guided back to the main discussion trunk, but others feel annoyed that they're stopped from following their tangents wherever they lead, seeming to prefer the latter

suffering is a function of not just the outside world, but the inner as well; while we do not always have control over the former, we do the latter, much more than we are lead to believe. to become the best versions of ourselves, we must conquer our pain.

is what you're perceiving ("I am in great pain! there is danger!") true to the underlying reality? if you examine your linguistic beliefs, why not your somatic ones as well? cognitive biases do not only apply to perceptions express themselves w/ words; your mind is full of liars.
I don't think a person truly awakens to the world until they reckon with the nature of pain, and hence, their relationship between reality and their perception. this is really a question of epistemics; how sure are you that the signal you're receiving is properly calibrated?
I've found great value in learning to dispell the self-symbol, but more generally, in meditation itself. the benefits are innumerable, and I'm sure you've heard others preach it's merits. my point here is, rather, to point out how breathwork enables you to transcend your limits.
the next part is pretty difficult to describe with words, altho many a tradition has tried, with varying results. rather than become even more of a caricature here by earnestly typing out koans, I'll just encourage you to explore the massive existing canons if you're curious.
you think on this, ponder what it would mean to dispell the thought of "it's just me in there". how can that make any sense? you hem and haw, struggle with it. but eventually you try, the same way you did with all the others. you self-symbol, and... dispell it. and away it goes.
