@Connor the really scary thing is like 2/3 of the slots this year are for race. there's generally no hiring this year but deans have a "there's always room for Jello" mentality about wokeness

It's deans or higher, not chairs, deciding this. Or at least it's mostly deans or higher. Too complicated to explain in a tweet or toot or whatever this is
