Why is there no Twitter-Proxy for the fediverse yet? Imagine you could follow @elonmusk@twitter.com from a fedi-instance. I'd assume that many more people would be willing to give this a try, since they don't have to give up their twitter-bubble.

each thing using the api can only make so many requests an hour, and its not enough for people to browse twitter

The workaround is that a lot of people self-host their own #BirdsiteLIVE instance so that the API never gets saturated.
