okay going back on mastodon where the search is so bad that if i search "groomers" i get no results instead of a bunch of chulds whipping themselves up into a pogrom

yeah, the only relief i have is often that i don't actually want to find what i'm searching for
also site-specific search engines are a huge crutch, why not let your site be indexed by google (twitter doesn't do this ffs)
