@niplav I’m an algorithms identity person, I feel like there’s something metric-weight-y / universe-counting going on, like maybe 90% of mathematical objects with a slot for your algorithm would be heaven-universes if your algorithm outputs A, and 80% would be if that algorithm outputs B, so you ought to choose to take action A and that’s where ethics comes from (but also outside of time you choosing A is the fact of what your algorithm outputs and free will isn’t real?)

The existence of Bourbaki implies that there is also a Kikiki.

jump universes by acausally agreeing with an extrauniversal friend to give yourselves fake memories of being each other

splinter and the ninja turtles meme but it's thiel and the thiel fellows

it feels qualitatively like my mastodon-xposts do slightly better, wonder if
- this is an actual effect?
- because i filter on quality posting on mastodon?
- because x-posts are algorithmically favoured?

so much for the "efficient market", this index fund has been giving predictable returns that haven't been fully exploited yet!

pronatalism and antinatalism both rock and have compelling arguments for and against. imo

wonder if there’s a guide that’s like “how to pirate movies / download books or scientific papers / order nootropics online” for people who are very anxious and conformist

maybe that much legibility would kill the golden goose tho :(

forecasting questions can be divided into “we have an indicator, let the people forecast it” and “we have a question, let's find an indicator/indicators to concretise it”
