In this case I'm referring to the plan of prosecuting the leaders and Hard Cases, and letting the vast majority of the Germans have a clear line to back away from the Nazi ideology and just live their lives.

A small number of high level trials would be better than an ongoing miasma of <are you now, or have you ever been, a Trump supporter.>
The key is that ordinary people need to be able to have ordinary lives without loyalty checks.

For a moment there I thought you were going to say that we should put people on trial. I think that will happen, and while that is necessary, it won't put a dent in anything. We have much bigger problems.
