Challenge:
We have a time machine that can insert you into history. You will be sent to Berlin, Germany in 1916 to join Einstein.
You may take a team of up to 10 people and any amount of computers.
Your goal is to confirm the theory of general relativity as soon as possible.
@lispegistus if you wait until the 1919 eclipse, you don't beat the standard timeline.
Is there a way to do it sooner?
@WomanCorn
There was a total eclipse a year earlier. But you can also argue the already known orbit of Mercury was sufficient proof.
@WomanCorn the outcome either way is that Germans confiscate everything and use the computers to better aim their artillery and for the coordination of their submarine fleet
@WomanCorn
I'll take a hobby telescope and a DSLR and chill for 3 years until the 1919 solar eclipse. I'll also take a lot of canned food because multiple turnip winters and also modern anti-virals and antibiotics. Typhus and Spanish flu are not fun. The 10 people will be doctors.
